I’m looking forward to tomorrow… can’t wait to ride the Nostalgia Trains again!!!
Every Sunday from November 25th to December 30th, historical MTA New York City Transit will run on the line from Queens Plaza to B’way-Lafayette St, making an extra stop at 2nd Avenue ( Line) and then back to Queens Plaza.
The name, “Nostalgia Shoppers’ Special Train“, suggests its use for Christmas shopping … in my opinion, riding it is already quite an experience!!!
The vintage trains run on the same tracks as the modern ones: wait at one of the stations until you see it, then catch a ride on the old one 😉
PS – the cost to ride is $2.25, the same as any other train.
Departure:
– From 2nd Avenue: 10:01 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:01 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4:01 PM
– From Queens Plaza: 110:44 AM, 12:14 PM, 1:43 PM, 3:14 PM, and 4:44 PM
You can get on board in any of the following stations of the weekday M line: Queens Plaza, Court Sq-23 St, Lexington Av/53 St, 5 Av / 53 St, 47-50 Sts / Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park 42 St, 34 St Herald Sq, 23 St, 14 St, W 4th St Wash Sq, B’way-Lafayette St, 2nd Av.
To make the most of the event, I suggest you to dress in your ’20s or ’30s clothes… you’ll be surprised!
